It's been too long

I haven't been in the mood to talk lately. They finally cleaned out my confinement space and I recall at that time, I was covered in faeces and all they could do was laugh mercilessly.

Crappy humans.

Why won't I just die? I've no more will to live. 3 is such a crappy place to be, full of injustice and evil ogs roaming around.

STAR TREK : AMBP First Contact at Studio V

NOTICE : This is a Bluey free post. He's taking a break for a bit and will be back sometime this weekend, pissed off and moody as can be.

One of the most memorable and recognizable Star Trek moments, from ST II: The Wrath of Khan.

It was this movie that made me a fan of the Star Trek series, before ST:TNG came around with the Shakespeare-reciting Captain Jean-Luc Picard and gang flew into the scene. It still remains my favourite among all the Star Trek movies ever made.
Now, that is not to say that I’m a hardcore fan, and when it comes to the debate of whether the old Star Trek crew of Kirk, Spock, Jim, etc are better or worse than the TNG crew of Picard et al, I’m on the fence - mainly since I’ve never watched any of the old classic Star Trek series (the movies showed them as older characters, thus comparisons would be unfair).

Which is why I’m quite excited about watching the upcoming STAR TREK movie, which is a re-imagining of the beginnings of the original Star Trek crew. This bunch is not the old, wrinkled and portly Starfleet officers I’m familiar with from the movies, but the young, dashing, (and in Kirk’s case) reckless crew more reminiscent of the classic TV series characters.

It’s also directed by JJ Abrams, the man behind shows like Alias, and Lost. Expect cliffhangers aplenty in this one.

And guess what? AllMalaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) is organising a gathering centred around the STAR TREK theme this coming May 1. There’s a treasure hunt, trivia challenge, lucky draw, an auction of a classic Star Trek captain’s chair, and to top it all of, a special screening of the movie STAR TREK exclusively for bloggers! How awesome is that?

We’ll I’m going to attend the movie, and I hope this entry will also win me a super-cool t-shirt too...:)

If you’re a Trekkie blogger too, come on and join the fun! Register at the AMBP STAR TREK First Contact at Studio V site now!

See ya there, AMBP!
